Guys - I know this has been covered. I just want to confirm I am adjusting my boost correctly.
I have an external wastegate.
to adjust the boost, I turn in the wastegate screw with an allen wrench. this will increase the boost becuase the valve will hold longer before purging.
Then for final adjusting I turn my boost valve which is attached to the wastegate correct?
Can someone verify what I am doing is correct?
Also, with the boost valve all the way closed tite, does it matter what the wastegate is set at? At this point I am only allowing as much boost as the turbo naturally makes.
Running a 45A turbo and it reads about 18 PSI, but I am getting upto 14 degrees retard 93 octane sea level when I hit 3rd gear at 45lbs IDLE fuel line pressure.
I will take any advice or thoughts to make the knock go away.
Thanks,
JP
