My car came with this boost controller and aside from not knowing if this is the 25 or 50psi model, I have no idea how much of an adjustment I am making. I do have a boost gauge, but it seems like my car is always putting out 20+psi. Is there a way to accurately measure the adjustment?

(Ex. A quarter turn equals X amount of boost. A half turn equals Y. So on and so forth?)

...or is there a more user friendly option that you guys are using successfully?

if i had that boost controller and a delta gate (not the racegate ) ...
id toss the the deltagate in the trash

theres no way anyone can say any amount of turn will yeild x psi change or x psi boost... gate size spring and flow of the motor affect what youll get on your car

you can use an air compressor , a regulator (similar to the turbonetics) with a gauge on the regulated side
hook up the boost controller and gate as you would have it in the car . take the line that would go to the turbo and run it to the air compressor regulated output
with that you can dial up the pressure as if you were building boost and watch your gate open ,if it opens at 25 and you want 20 then adjust your controller accordingly , set it a less than you want and then road test it and adjust up as needed.. now whether your gate will control boost even if it does open thats another topic

In your experience have other users have problems with the Deltagate? It seems to be functioning properly, but I have been considering replacing it with a more recent design. I'm not sure what which one I need or what the difference is between a 44mm, a 46mm, a 37mm, etc...

even when they work they were to small for a modified tr with higher boost and what most would call a small turbo these days , often required two gates just to control boost
most i see fail to even open enough to flow what they are supposed to leading to higher boost than the user expects

the racegate which looks similar has a larger base and flows much more air and works well even on the 71hpq

i run the pw46 and thats ok for controlling pump gas level boost on even the largest turbos as long as the porting at turbo and the pipes feeding it are large enough

Any chance you would have any insight on the GN1 wastegates? I understand they are copies, and I have heard mixed reviews, but they are priced relatively well

oh they are cheap , have seen them for 50 bucks on ebay
not for me , i like a bargain but push my junk too hard to gamble on boost not holding
turbopowered68 runs one of the older 4 bolt flange 46mm like the GN1perf . it was installed custom off the passenger header, seems to work ok for him
