Ok, who makes the good rocker shafts for our stock heads?

TA performance used to. A lot of guys get by with RJC shaft braces pretty well. TA also sells longer studs for use with the braces instead of bolts pulling the threads out...

Even though I know studs have more clamping power, I still can't comprehend how studs aren't pulling threads out too when tightened.

Because by the time you are applying any pressure to the threads with the studs, you are doing so with ALL the threads. When applying pressure with bolts, you are doing so starting with a thread or two, compressing the springs. If you are not careful and even, they pull threads. If you pull the threads out with studs, they were buggered to begin with.
