Aftermarket Temp Gauge Add-on Q

I have a Digital Temp gauge Id like to put in my GN. Its a Cyberdyne gauge and it came with its own sending unit for it. Im pretty sure that if I just shove it in to where the stock 2 wire (black and yellow) it will trigger a check engine light correct? Any ideas where to put this sensor? -Ben
