Hi all,

No this is not another what backspacing, how wide of a tire, rim width, etc. question. I got that figured out but....

I put the 3" GM studs on my car yesterday to accomodate a pair of used Weld Draglites I bought. The centers of these wheels are 1.5" thick.

Are all aftermarket aluminum "racing" wheels this thick in the middle? Like Telstars, Dragstars, etc. I may get another set of aftermarket wheels and salvage what's left of my stock GN wheels. If I do, I want to make sure that I get ones with the thick centers so I don't have a lot of stud sticking out.

Thanks,
Jim

Weld DragStars are as thick in the middle as DragLites. Telstars are not that thick at all. Me and my bud Jim were at Summit racing a couple of weeks ago trying to determine this same thing. he he..

Telstars have a billet center and will work with stock length studs
