Hey guys, I bought a new Quincy air compressor last year at the beginning of summer. I bought a 60 gallon unit from Northern tool and equipment to replace my Kobalt 35 gallon that wasnt keeping up with my demands. After prolonged use in a climate controlled shop I would start to get moisture at the end of the hose even with a Norgren water separator. After researching condensers and water removal I decided to add a method to remove water.
After having to replace my home AC unit I was able to keep the inside evaporator coil. It was the perfect size for my shop. I added a surge tank/water catcher tank made from an old portable air tank I had. Everything is brazed together or uses compression fittings. Just thought I would share what I have done so far. I still have a few connection to make and relocate my air hose reel.

That's original. Never seen that done. I use a toilet paper filter and a water trap. Works good but have to remember to change the paper regularly.

I have a real deal norgren coalescing water separator that will be after the big tank.
