Air ratchet repair

I have two air ratchets sitting on the work bench. Both of them with the same problem. The crankshaft spins and the yoke goes back and forth but there is not much torque at all. I can hold the socket still with my hand. If you try to use the air ratchet as a manual ratchet by hand it works great. There is no skipping and it can loosen a bolt. What should I be looking for after opening them up? Is there a common part which goes bad?
