I was able to capture a little video of an Airborne Night jump yesterday at 11pm.
Not very good since we had blackout lights on and I used my Iphone.
Jump at 1,000 Feet with 45lbs Rucksack.

Here's a cool one I found on YouTube.

Stand Up, Hook up, shuffle to the door, jump right out and count to four!!
Yeah those were some good times. I spent 4 years in the late 90s with the 82nd Airborne. We jumped 130s,141s, c-160s and Uh-1 Hueys.

We count to 6 now :)
We don't use the T-10D anymore. We are jumping T-11 Square Canopy.
It has a descent rate of 18 feet per second as opposed to the T10's 24 feet per second.

Sounds like you had a lot of fun in the 82nd. Thank you for your service. ;)

We had tons of fun for sure. Longest free fall was from the Huey. That was the first time we earned German jump wings. It was about 6-8 seconds. Straight up 2500 ft. then straight down. Lowest jump was 500 feet over Geronimo DZ at ft. Polk. Chute opened, lowered equipment and boom you're on the ground. Thank YOU for YOUR service. It was different time when I was in.

Proud grad of class 33-97 US Army Airborne school here :)
Grad of German Airborne (Luft und Luftlandtransportschule) and earned my wings in Altenstadt '98... was 1 of 2 Americans on board and took all commands in German. I did an exchange assignment and was posted to Fallschirmjaeger 261, one of the few jump status German units. Felt weird being a "non-native speaking" jumper.

Lots of my buddies went to Bragg and I got to hear all the cool stories and me being stuck in a leg unit. Of course, I went to Hawaii so life wasn't too bad.

You do us proud!

I was stationed with the 3rd Infantry Div. in Germany during the eighties. Good times.;)

Here's my latest canopy. It's a 129 sq ft Crossfire 2. I've only got a few jumps on it, but love it. I should be doing about 20 jumps in the next month. I just hit 600 jumps last time out.:)

Blue skies.
