Alarm ????

I was under the dash of my car when i noticed a toggle switch! above it is a red light. So I took the panel apart ant it has like 3 or 4 wires going into a bunch. I dont know anything about alarms so how do i get it to work and most importantly shut off! What do I do?

After further inspection, It seems that the wires are cut. So I have the switch and light, what do I need now, the alarm?

i've got a really small silver toggle switch under the steering column as well...i thought that was factory for something...to this day i still don't know what the purpose of that switch is? it doesn't do anything and my factory alarm is now gone..

I have about 5-6 switches under my dash panel from the several alarms that have been in the car. Only one now works. Should keep the thieves guessing for a little while.

I had an unknown switch under my dash too. I used it and wired my manual turn on switch for the cooling fan

It could be the valet switch for the alarm...at least that's what mine is...never used it though...
