My car was down for a month and a half. Powermaster died and I finally got some $$ and time to put new vacuum brakes on my car. I guess all those "test" passes with Julios system finally killed that powermaster.

Anyway, after getting the brakes going I took it out for a test ride and decided to purge the alky lines with the test button at idle. I did this a few times and the car stumbled like it was supposed to. I did not bring up any boost at this time, I just took it back home. I then parked the car. That was last weekend.

Tonight I took it out and it was blowing ALOT of smoke at a third to a little over half throttle. It is dark but with the street lights I can tell its quite a bit. Could it just have carbon buildup from sitting? Does the alky "purge" have anything to do with this. My car runs like a top and has never blown smoke before. It does not smoke during startup or normal driving, only when I'm in the throttle. I had no issues with it before I parked it in December. Any input is appreciated.

Turn the alky off.. and see if it still smokes.. if it does, it aint the alky.

I drove it last night and it seemed to clear up a little after I got on it a couple of times. I guess I blew out any build up that I had.

I was never in the boost high enough for me to question the alky system not working properly or not. I have been having the system for a while and had no problems. My question was that if I had used the test button a few times too many and did not proceed to boost it up that maybe it "built up" and caused some smoke.

I just want to clarify also to anyone reading this post that I am in no way blaming Julios alky kit. I could not be more satisfied with my cars performance or his customer service. This post is to answer my question for in case I screwed up by purging my system to much. It probably is not the alky but I was told that the only stupid question is the one you dont ask.

I purge ours every day before I leave the house

Thanks Grumpy, your probably right and its not the alky.

I have accepted the fact that my GN is like my 2 year old son... sometimes you never know how hes gonna act when you take him out in public. They are both mysterys but I love them both.
