Same issues with mine.
Except following the wiring "instructions",
resulted in the fans blowing air backwards towards the FRONT of the car! Switching the wires made the air flow correctly towards the engine, but the blades were now operating inefficiently off the backside of the blades, resulting in only a 7 mph air speed. The hubs on the fans were too short to allow them to be reversed, so I made adaptors on my lathe to make them fit.
They had so many "Child proof finger guard fins that the flow was still only around 12 mph. I cut about 2/3rds of them out with a die grinder assuming that no kids would be running alongside my car while driving, I don't drive with the hood up, and I don't have any kids anyway......
Airflow is up to 21 or 22 MPH now.
In latest news, sitting in my garage full of the correct antifreeze with less than 53 miles driven, I was treated to a 6 foot puddle of 50/50 under the car.....
I haven't removed it yet, as my anger level hasn't lowered enough to approach that POS with hard objects (tools).

I did take it to a local radiator shop and they quoted me $950 to re-core it, which I thought at the time was outrageous. I live in central Brevard County Florida, and the next closest shop is in Daytona, so I may have to bite the bullet and have them do it. They will do it for a little less than the local quote. I thought hard about it, and figured since the CC is an all aluminum unit and its painted black, non-stock appearance would be unnoticeable. I never had any temperature issues since the car is all original so whatever additional benefit it would provide in terms of improved cooling would be an unnecessary bonus. Live and learn.

There are lots of cheaper than $300.00 radiators out there that fit as well as some "stock replacement" units.
I have had a Speedmaster/Procomp radiator in my 1972 440 Challenger since 1997! It was around $125.00 then. It finally corroded thru the bottom of the hotside tank about 2 months ago. I heliarced a patch there and it's back in the car.
Some big price and big name radiators are prolly made in the same factory.
I won't buy another "nane brand" one again.
The intake manifold, stainless steel roller rockers, rocker covers, fuel cell, AN fittings, and air cleaner, (offshore sourced) all were installed in 1997 too too, still with no issues.
The "house brands" parts from most of the big retailers are Chinese too!
I prefer "buying American", but so much is outsourced anyway??????
My new 512/440 stroker is being built with almost all offshore parts, except the block, Comp cam and valvetrain, and of course, ARP fasteneers. The trans has planetaries, shafts, and deep pan from offshore too.
I expect low 9s to hi 8s in this street legal Dodge Challenger soon...
I don't sell what I haven't used myself!

I went to the only local shop about re-core of my original radiator...$800. Cold Case at the time was on sale for $350 during the holidays. So, for a half day of labor to make some modifications it was the better play in my case. I would gladly paid $400 and had mine fixed but I could not find anyone within an hour's drive that would touch to or if they would it was $800.
