Alky in up pipe location

Hello; I installed the sprayer in the up pipe right at the plenum. I modified the coupling and the up pipe to accommodate the sprayer. It did clear the IAC. It is right in front of the butterfly. Does this locale help or hurt it purpose?

Further away gives time for the alky to atomize better. Seems the closer to the TB the harder it is to dial in. This is my experience tho.

I have done this on some apps. Perfect example are on the Syclone/Typhoon trucks as the nozzle goes on the out of the IC which is inches from the throttle blade. No issues.
It can't hurt to move it back… and may work better, but air speed through the pipe being what it is.. it may serve no benefit. If anything the pipe may offer better support to the nozzle itself that drilling through the hose.
