The Typhoon has a couple minor issues. One is the ecm chip and the way its programmed. And then the awful stock wastegate. One of the fisrt Typhoons I did would bounce the boost guage with the stock turbo to like 24 PSI then come down settle to 20 PSI.
Most will upgrade to the 3 bar sensor and ultimate chip. Along with a fuel pump upgrade. You can take the stock injectors really far on alcohol.
I've done 4 Sy/Ty install. two Ty's, two Sy's. The Typhoons were stock, and they all benefitted from being able to run higher boost(all 4 in the mid 20's). But a chip change would almost be mandatory.
