Alky pump help ?

I have been working on the car for a few months now ...hooked up power to night and turned Key on and the pump is on all the time ? the switch is doing nothing....

when i put the white pump wire to power (with out ground) it comes on ?

the switch will do nothing ? (on/off) when i have power and ground hooked up

as fare tell everything id hook up right, but i am sure i am missing something here...

at the pump i have the ground wire to the frame the white wire is at 12v key on, then the ground to body...

i have the red and black wire hooked up to the same 12v key on power..

if you have any ideas...

More than likely the bare wire was tied to the black pump wire applying ground constantly.. cuasing it to run.

Call me if you get a chance, i'll wlak you through it.
