Alky pump question

Had second pump go out on me. Gonna finally go with an Alky pump.

Question is: I see three wires; PWR; GND; what is the white wire for?

I'm only going with the pump; I have a kit already(not Alky), so just need PWR and GND.

the white is for the switch on the pump so it can flip the dual color led in the alkycontrol kit from red to green when the switch closes and grounds
