The cap off of my 5 gal.container fell apart. Can I store it in a new plastic gas container.

I just recently bought a 5 gal plastic gas container from Wal-Mart cheap that would be good for alky storage.

Be sure and clean ALL of the gas out of it. As I recall Razor's pump doesn't like petroleum products.
