Is it possible to run high boost on a TE-44 turbo and alky and still run mid to low 11's with it? My friend might sell me his alky kit. I am thinking about it. Or should I stick with my 118 race gas. I would love to run in race mode all the time with the alky kit. Also would I be able to run my 110 race chip with the alky? I bet I would have to spray lots of alky in order not to knock at my performance level.

I just went 119.86 MPH on denatured alky, 5 gallons of 92, and 4 gallons of 114. If my memory serves me right, the gas octane was around 108 + alky = ??? This was with a TE44 and OE squirters!

You need some traction man! Like me:D

Don for the life of me I have no idea why you have waited this long for alcohol. Since youve waited this long you might as well get Jay's propane setup

what is the big deal with this propane anyways...how is it better than alky?

If you get the dual nozzle kit, you won't have to spray as much as you think. I ran a very soft 12.280 on 93 and alky before my 3"dp and pump speed was only on 3.5 - 4 and that was at 21psi. I should go easy 11's on alky. (Sig times was on Vp 115 race fuel)

i think i may just use the alky mainly for street use now that i think about it...i don't want to chance anything at the track...i will continue to run race gas only at the track since i am rarely at the track anyways...but alky will be awesome for the street...i am so sick of running only 15 lbs of boost on the street...no fun after you have did a couple runs at 25 lbs at the track

How did you do at the track last week?

More people than I can count have your combo on alcohol. Propane does not have any bog, lasts longer, does not have to be mixed, and runs super clean. Read the post on this page by Jay Carter for more info.

i didn't do too hot at all...first of all i am an IDIOT for accidently mixing 3 gallons of 118 into 2 gallons of 89 octane...oops...when i went to the track i had to fill up a little bit with pump gas so i could drive down there...i mistakenly put 89 instead of 93 octane in because i went to a gas station i wasn't familar with and i am so used to the 93 being the last one on the right...well it was 89 at this station..and 93 was in the middle...anyways

my first run i had my 110 PTE race chip in and the boost was about 25 lbs...i had a HORRIBLE launch as i didn't brake torque the boost high enough...i ended up only launching with 5 lbs and cut a 2.0 60 ft...then my knock meter lit up like a fricking christmas tree all the way to the last red and then i let off slowly...going half throttle until the knock went away...then i got on it again not going full throttle and STILL knocked a little...ended up running a 13.2 @ 106mph and INCHED out a 93 cobra R next to me...i was like omg

my second run i threw out the race chip and figured i didnt have enough octane for it so i put my 93 PTE street chip in which has 20 degrees timing...boost was about 22-23 lbs this time...my launch was again HORRIBLE because the guy next to me didn't know how to stage (guess what...it was a GN driver!) and he totally threw my concentration off...i rolled down my window and motioned him to inch closer so we could start the tree.....finally he staged but then the tree counted down way fast and i wasn't ready so i only launched with like 3 lbs of boost this time while he redlined and shot waaaaaaaaaay ahead of me....i caught up to him halfway down the track and passed him like he was standing still...i knocked little...in route to a 13.4 @ 105 mph still not going full throttle yet because i was afraid of knock and i knew my run had been wasted anyways because of my launch...

so really my car has the power for 11's but i just need to get it dialed in and drain my tank and fill with straight 118 next time...sheesh i am such a newbie...i am so glad i will have alcohol injection soon...

you know...i am so surprised i havent blown a head gasket yet because of the pounding my motor takes from me...i mean i knocked i think it was 12 degrees with the high timing chip and still nothing happened...my gaskets must be inseperable or something...not saying i don't have piston or crank damage yet:eek:

that sux. Next time you get race gas do like I do and get a six gallon tank full. Put half the can in your tank and if its not enough octane then put the other three gallons in. It can make the difference between a wasted night and a decent one.

Also last time I needed enough gas to get to the track, so I went to the local Sunoco and put three gallons of 110 pump gas in:cool:
When I added the C16 at the track I did not even get .1 º of knock on the T-108:cool:

Wow...that is some friend you have there! Willing to part with an alky kit! He must be crazed.......
