What is smc alky? How does it work? Where could i get some if i wanted to test it out on my car?

alky refers to alcohol injection. SMC is just a one of the kits available but IMO it is the most popular. alcohol injection injects denatured alcohol into the air stream in the up pipe in a fine mist form. this cools the incoming air and raises the octane of the fuel since denatured alky's octane is like 110 i think. both the cooling effect and octane boost help ward off detonation, which kills engines, at higher boost levels where the air temps are hot enough to cause severe detonation even with a very efficient intercooler.
