Alternator Charging voltage question

Ok so the car died on me on the way to work one day, battery had been drained, put a new one in to get me home, put the car in storage and said I'd worry about it in the spring, so I just checked the charging voltage and it's about 15.5-15.8, does this mean my alternator is on it's way out?

It means your voltage regulator is bad. Get it fixed before you batter 'spplodes under the hood on the interstate. You will NEVER get all the rust to stop if sulfuric acid goes everywhere.

In the mean time if your ever driving along and your radio cuts off, turn on EVERYTHING you can that's electrical.... hi beams, blower fan, etc....

Thanks a lot I work at a shop and can get a good deal on parts so I'll just get a new alternator, the radio quit first so I started shutting stuff off and the car came to a halt only a mile or so from work so close haha

That's not good. You might have fried some expensive electronics when you started shutting things off.
