I have cast aluminum intake on my car, bought brand new, the motor has only ran enough to break the cam in. My problem is the big cowl induction hood that lets all kinds of moisture and general crap in. I know I need to invest in a car cover, but thats besides the point. But anyway, the intake is starting to get oxidized, and obviously I dont want it to. Does anyone know of any product or something I can do to get it looking good again, if possible w/o having to take it off. Was also wondering, after said treatment, could I spray it w/ some clear to prevent it again? Thanks

I would look at Eastwood Company. Below is a link to some claer coat for protection and they also have a kit that you can by to remove oxidation and polish if wanted.

Eastwood Co. - Surface Protection

I would say it would be best to take the intake off to work on it. If you do that you could always get it powder coated and be done with it.

I appreciate it man, was kinda looking for something I could get local, and maybe cheaper. I hate to spend $50+ on something so minor
