An 86 WH1 Question

Hey Guys , As yall know I'm looking to buy a Grey T but the 86 WH1 is a car that has been catching my eye . I have found one to buy and I guess what I'm asking , and it maybe dumb , but how do you know your getting a WH1 ? is it in the vin or the RPO codes as a WH1 ? Thanks in advance for the help Keith

Paint code trim tag on firewall has 3 paint codes 19. 15 19 only a WH1 has this

19L -19 Lower Black
15M - 15 Middle Medium Grey Metalic
19U - 19 upper Black

Also, WH1 will be listed in RPO code decal affixed to truck. If you want to pull the rear seat and see if build sheet is present. It will also state WH1.

They're not , just not many left , and Irvjr just wants to get his paws on another one . lol . I can't blame him though , they are purdy !!

cowl tag will also show the D86 designer series rpo
other thing notable about the wh1 is besides the gn -gnx its the only other regal that came from factory with a rear spoiler

Hey guys, I know this is a dated conversation, but I located a probable 84 WH1 that has been painted black and has a seized engine. $2800 !!! Its on craigslist in the Lansing MI. area. I'd scoop this one up, but I got my own WH1 project. I ask him to send a picture of the trunk tag to verify, but have not heard back from him. The only thing I can go on is the cowl tag and the paint codes which are black / silver / black.

Keith, It will be in the RPO Code. The cowl will be W11 (at least my 85 WH1 is that way).

old thread , WH1 cowl should have the D86 (designer series) , paint codes 19 and 15 , W11 is just T-Type package
my wh1 is has been getting demodded back to stock appearing , even under the hood
