The neighbors shouldn't have to put up with the barking, especially at night. I once called the cops because of a dog barking. I was renting a house in Knoxville, TN. and the dog was 2 blocks away. I couldn't sleep. I went to the house at 2 AM and it sounded like a monster was in the yard behind a 10 foot privacy fence. It was jumping on the fence. I couldn't tell what kind of dog it was, but it was BIG. Every light was on in the house but nobody came to the door. So I met the cop there and he got the beautiful blond girl to answer the door. Turned out her parents were out of town and she was home with the b/f having sex, oblivious to the dog barking. Sad thing was that the neighbors had to put up with it, and the only one to complain was the out of towner (me). The dog was a great dane.
