A fellow GN owner messaged me the other night asking for help. He was hopeful I had a GN with T Tops but I do not, mine is a hard top so I cannot show him my car to help him with his.

He recently had his car painted and there was according to him "some rust around the t tops that the body shop fixed" and he states:

Took it apart a few years ago because we found rust. Had some areas repaired, some replaced. Then it was painted. I think I have ordered the parts
needed but before I start drilling I want to be sure I'm doing it correctly."

So, does anyone with t tops have any thoughts I can pass on to help out a fellow GN owner? He is talking about the area between the top of the front windshield and the area where the front of the t tops go back in is what I am seeing on my end.

Thank you for your time and any help you can provide.

My 2 cents...

Get it to a Trusted/Recommended REAL body shop.

I can't say this enough!

Do your research!

And above all, trust your gut.

Then.....

Listen to Turbo Buick guys, not just here, but everywhere, by folks that have suffered body shop jail, or a have expressed their good experiences. Use that info.

Most will be complaints, so be on your guard.

Every car is "a cream puff" when it arrives at the shop, according to the owner, who has ignored every flaw in the car since they obtained it. Just ask him...

Too bad those photos they took, showing the same damage the owner claims to be the shop's fault, but shows up in the photos they took while the customer stood there, at intake, show the PREVIUOS damage when they dropped the car off.

That's so fun!

"Oh man, you took pictures?"

But I digress....

You have a very unique car, just like every one of us, LOL. We are really the lucky ones, the way I see it.

"The limit is on this car just around the corner", I always say. "Yep, tomorrow, I'm putting her up for sale" ...

"But not yet..." And my son just laughs at me. He knows...

More and more "kids" are learning about these cars, but not like we did, seeing a new muscle car in any show room, every year, after year, after year. How cool was that? Then this V6 car came along and stole a lot of hearts...

In my case, it seemed Dad always said, "What's that DeSoto over there?" When shopping for a car..

"Used it is". _ Dad

No, seriously, you have a very unique car. You are in the right place.

Pay no attention to us Katty Girls, we're OK.

What do you expect? We love these cars... Seriuosly....

Babble OFF...
