Blanket question.
Some may think TR owners should not worry about this but here it goes.

What size turbo and injectors are you running and what is your MPG?
Highway vs city MPG?

Anyone? Was this THAT dumb of a question?

Our cars spend too much time with the foot on the floor to really get an idea of fuel economy. I generally go through at least a quarter tank of fuel spending a day at the track if that helps. ;)

I put 12,000 miles on my car in 2 months recently when my work car was broken. I did everything I could for gas mileage and eventually got it to hit 27-28mpg a couple times. I leaned it out until it surged and then richened it slightly. I have a lockup converor and drove the speedlimit which put me ~2,000rpm.

I have a TA64 turbo and 60lb injectors. The bigger turbos should have the potential to get better (and worse) mpg due to less backpressure. The injectors, as long as the chip is burned right for them shouldn't affect gas mileage. Other signifigant things that help with gas mileage on my car is higher compression, lighter rotating assembly, running it lean on the highway, freeflowing exhaust. Things that hurt are a bigger motor (4.2L), and dragradials (maybe). Around town, with the old 3,800 stall convertor it averaged 8mpg if I was lucky. I had the convertor knocked down to 3,000rpm and it's much better now but I haven't actually measured it yet.

With my set up I'm averaging about 18 around town not giving it much boost. I mean every once in a while you just have to. On the highway it gets between 22-26 also if I lay off the boost. That's on 110 race fuel.

With my Dr Pepper car (84T) I got 30.5 when I drove to Albuquerque (244miles) for a TR get-together. Stock turbo, injectors, Joe Lubrandt burned chip (when he worked for Casper's). Around town it's between 18 and 20.

I get 15 in the city and i try to be nice to it but im not always. On the highway i get 15-22 or so. This is in my dads 85 BTW stock turbo and injectors
