antifreeze?

i thought i heard someone say that antifreeze can be used instead of meth. is this right? also is there something else that can be used? what are the pro's and cons? what type of alky can be used? thanks Terry

Isn't antifreeze one of the things we try to avoid burning in these cars? I suppose you could pi%$ into the can and run it, but I wouldn't suggest it.

I don't mean to be a jerk.....but why do people continue to try the goofiest combos in their alky tanks? Is Methanol that hard to come by?

Sorry, after racing NHRA for years on straight Methanol I guess I'm a little biased

i think they are talking about windshield washer fluid the antifreeze type for winter because it has more METHANOL!!!!!!! you can put regular antifreeze in it if you want to be speed racer and put out a smoke machine

You need to get this kind of advice from the alky kit MFG, or pump MFG in the case of DIY. Having here say advice is always bad, and only lead to tuning or pump problems.

With that said, straight alcohol. Methanol or Denatured. Which one.. The one that is cheapest/most convenient.

Need more.. use the search function.. there is tons of this info on this board.

i was just asking , i can get both alky and meth easy. i'm cheep but not that cheep. i love my car to much to try just anything, i was just wondering , thanks for everybody's input , Terry
