Any commercial vehicle drivers out there. need a site nyc to hartford ct

I am renting a truck/van w commercial plates and i have to pick up my motor. looking for a good site to help me travel on the correct roads for commercial vans trucks etc. i will be traveling from nyc to hartford ct i tried map quest google maps and avoided highways but it was taking me on to parkways instead.. any help appreciated

I-95 to New Haven and then I-91 to Hartford. You can't go on Merritt Parkway / Wilbur Cross Parkway with commercial vehicles though I have seen numerous trailer trucks on there recently. If you have ever experienced the exit /entrance ramps on there you would understand.

Thx mark. I was gd w i95 then it took me to ct 15 which isnt commercial friendly. Will try and fully map.it out

You can use Google maps. If you know what routes you need to avoid, you can just drag the "road" where you want to go. Crap like this jerks my chain, sooooo glad I live in TX!

If you have a current GPS standalone, set it for heavy truck. My garmin had that feature.
