I tried one before and had issues. Replaced with a aluminum sensor and resolved.

Has anyone had any luck with the plastic ls1 maf??

TIA

Rick

What issues did you see? I have tried one and would occasionally get a MAF code. I don't know if the Translator is going flaky or if it was the MAF. I have a new Translator and metal LS1 MAF to try when the weather breaks.

It was a while ago. I want to say I had idle and off idle issues.

Just swap the maf and see what happens. No?

I've had very good luck with them. You might have coincidentally got a bad one, or some other issue. I only use the plastic ones anymore (unless it's a blow through setup).

How about when you lift the throttle? Any issues with back pressure triggering fuel?

I would go for weeks and not have a code and other times it would throw one several at a time. I'll start with swapping the metal one in. Plastic one has no air foil, maybe that is causing it to flake out?

What ever happened to your maf issues guys? And which setting on your translator did you use? Also, what is off idle issues? I seen the setting on the translator but have no clue what it means. The directions aren't the most comprehensive.
