Met John Spina (Casper's) at Kirban's show and I got one of his CamFix Modules. Anyone else using this? Seems like a great idea and it is about a 1 minute installation. Normally if your cam sensor takes a dump it is time for the hook. This little gizmo creates a startup cam signal which can help the engine start even if the cam sensor is defective or broken. You can just leave it on your car at all times, seems like good insurance to me.

John was a real pleasure to talk to at the show and is another one of those innovators that the TR community owes a lot to. Going to try out his alternator field fix also.

Got 'em both.

Cam Thingy module stores in the console until needed. Two minute hookup if your cam sensor dies, no reason to leave it on the car in all that heat. ;)

Alternator field fix stays on the car.

Got 'em both. I think the alternator "thingie" is $39.00 and the cam "whatchamacallit" is $59.00.

I'm doing the same thing that "Savage" is doing with his, as far as hooking up. Neat Stuff!!

Now we're waiting for a Crank Sensor "doohickey." :)

Directions say you can leave it hooked up permanently. Supposedly will help with quicker startups?

On my daily driver I got an equal number of "bad" starts as good quicker ones. When it's out of sync. it's kinda funky. ;)

For your car no problem leaving it hooked up as you don't start it 6-7 times a day. I'd leave it installed.

A great product to have in the car just in case, much safer to carry than a pristine new cam sensor and much easier to install to get you where you are going in case of failure.

Just my .02. :)

The alternator thingy gives you full field in case your brown wire and dash lamp fail or become intermittant.

Plug and play harness, easy to install.
