I have a color i really like but it is metallic and i want it in a solid. If we leave out the metallic will it work? Or do we need to add something like silver?

should work just fine, is it course metallic or mica. Mica is a dry powder that is mixed in the paint by weight. Leaving it out will not hurt anything except you will not have the pretty sparkles in the paint. Daniel Ray

it was the metallic. It is a Napa store and he is new at it. I just had him mix some from a paint card. It is alot darker than I really wanted. If I buy a can of silver and mix it in would it lighten it up?
