Hi
I am thinking of putting alky in my car and I am looking for a very clean install.

I would like to hide it as much as possible. Can you hide the nossle and hoses on the bottom of the up pipe?

Any pics of a real clean install would help.

Thanks
Jack

I have the old SMC setup so the bottle is a dead giveaway...but..

I have my nozzle on the back of the up pipe and I put it inside some black wire look. It really blends in well to the stock stuff and looks natural...well...except for the bottle :-)

I don't think it matters where you put the nozzle as the air blowing up the pipe should carry it well.

The nozzle should be higher than the liquid to prevent siphoning issues when you shut the car off. The nozzle can be mounted on the bottom of the up-pipe and then the hose run backwards torards the IAC, down by the turbo oil feed and under the lower radiator hose. This will conceal it it pretty much. The only thing tho, is the hose is longer and not the standard length. The tank is pretty stealth as it replaces the factory coolant tank. Some green food dye and it will look like antifreeze. The rest is 100% out of sight.

The hose can be covered in black split loom to hide it. Nozzle can be painted black.

The down side to hiding the nozzle.. the MAF pipe clearance is compromised meaning you have to watch where your drilling the hole to make sure it wont interfere.

If you decide to buy one of my systems, let me know this is your intention to supply the longer pressure hose.

Ah yes, I forgot about the alky systems where the juice is in the coolant tank. You would want the nozzle same or higher I suppose.

I have the older SMC system and the bottle is down where the charcoal canister would be so no worries there.

I am planing on buying your system in the spring. I know you said the price might be higher after the first of the year. Do you know how much higher? I would love to buy one now but with Xmas and other stuff you know how it is.

Thanks

When I had my old DIY setup with stock location IC I had the nozzle in the outlet of the intercooler. Did have a siphoning problem with this and ended up putting in an alky solenoid that opened whenever the pump motor came on. Not cheap to do.

Now running a front mount with the Razor kit and not worried about the stealth factor any more.

You could use the coolant tank as your tank for the Alky. Depending on your IC setup it could be fairly easy to hide.

Do you use your IAC?

I have a stock intercooler

I am planning on using Razor's set up so I will be using the coolant tank.

What is a IAC?
