I have one and I love the thing. It seals tight and looks good. I put my switch in one of Marks ashtray switch panels so it ads that 007 style to the car.

I saw the electric cutout at Kirbans open house. It is awesome, I wanted to buy it but my homemade dump was too close to the ground. It opens in less than 3 seconds, great quality and when i get a THDP im going to buy it.

Hey Jack, this is pretty much what it looks like mounted. Yes, I know there are some loose bolts on the 4 bolt flange!
Albertan, will look into the possibility of doing 3.5" cutouts. Will post back here when I hear from the machinist doing these for me.

Is there a 3.5" dump?? I was told on the TH 3.5"dp the dump is still a 3".
If its not, you BETTER make 3.5" cutout
Its worth it just not to have to lay on the ground at the track and burn your hands up trying to remove the dump, hope you don't lose the bolts/washers, and burn ur hands again on th re-install, nevermind the effect it will have at the stoplights

Does anyone know if the 3.5" THDP dump pipe has a 3" outlet?? Would sort of defeat the purpose of going to 3.5" wouldn't it?
A few more details on installing one of these. You have to cut off the short bolts on the cutout and use the ones we provide. Usually the bolts on all the dump pipes are welded on crooked, off center and they aren't anywhere near long enough. I also recommend removing the heat shield for the cat for additional clearance though this is not always necessary. There is plenty of clearance to the frame and floorboards. Worse case scenario would be if whoever welds the flanges on the dump section of your pipe has the flange way out of where the slots in the cutout could not accomodate the variance. In this case you might have to have the flange on your dump repositioned. This hasn't happened to any of my customers as far as I know but the possibility is there.
From checking one potential customer's car at Kirban's event, his custom dump would not work. He had a dump pipe put in just before his cat. This is intended for use with the traditional THDP dump pipe and Flowtech dump pipes. Not sure if it would work with a Jersey style THDP dump, that would be interesting!
The wiring harness disconnects from the motor to allow you to easily put a cat back on the car without removing the entire harness. To wire it up is easy, run the harness along the trans crossmember away from the exhaust and run it into the interior thru the grommet for the floor shifter. (just wondering if column shifter cars still have the grommet, can anyone tell me?)
You will need to decide where to put the switch, it requires a 1/2"x3/4" slot. I originally put mine in the dual gauge pod right between the gauges but wanted to move it closer so we made up a new ashtray switch panel using switches that matched the cutout one. Now it is right within easy reach. You can probably also mount it in the side of your console. The switch has a short harness with a connector so you don't have to run the whole length of the harness thru the hole. Just connect to the rest of the harness and then find a good ground and 12v power source and you are done. Most installations can be done in about an hour and a half. You will most likely have to partially remove the console to gain access to the grommet in the floor.
As far as sealing goes, I would be a liar if I told you it seals up 100%. I would say it is about 99%. If you put your hand up to it you may feel some slight leakage but it is not noticeable noise-wise. Just ask some of the other guys using it for their opinions.
Let me know if you guys have any other questions. Delivery WAS taking about 2 weeks but the guy who is making these for me has now caught up and it is down to about 1 week to 10 days for delivery.

Guess users of their dumps have one less thing to worry about. Forgot about ATR's stuff.
The 3.5" THDP normally retails for $530 and the 3" for $440. I got a bit better deal on mine from Ramchagers to make right on a problem I had during a previous transaction. The 3.5" is overkill for most any build. Heck the 3" is overkill for most any build. But it's nice to buy the 3.5" and know you're done with it.
