my last project GN looks like its getting parted out. Body just has to much rust and i dont really have the space to do all the work i had origionally planned. on top of that alot of the fun has been taken out of the project knowing that iam looking at 5-6 years to finish. My father kind of bribed me to rid of my project by giving me his project lol.. his is an 87 GN with just some rust in the quarters. it runs great, motor was rebuilt 3k miles ago and she runs real strong. my plan now it to restore alittle at a time to keep it on the road and i dont get bored. i have my old frame off my last GN. i plan on getting it blasted and powder coated then build my suspension on there. when the frame is done iam just going to do a swap (hopefully 3 days) and have her running again. when the frame is dropped i plan to clean and paint the undercarriage. i plan on this being a show car at one point. anyone ever do there body off like this?

3 days  good luck with that one. Thats what I thought it was going to take me.

lol.. iam talking about a pre built frame with complete suspension/breaks/mounts attached. just have to disconnect the engine harness/hoses.. remove the body bolts and lift up on lift slide new one under and reassemble.. i know it never goes that easy but my friend owns a shop and him and his workers are very good. so iam hoping i can pull it off without to many snags.

Does the new frame have a drivetrain? If your doing it in a shop with more than 1 person it will be no problem.good luck

it will have a rear in it. the motor/tranny will have to be swaped over..that should be the easy part.
