What kind of experience have you had? What was the power/drivability like. What kind of RPM can I expect from it?

I've got that cam in my car. It idles GREAT!!! Almost as smooth as the stock cam. I'm still "breaking in" my motor, so I've only had it to about 5800 RPM. Pulls real strong for my setup. The cam is a snap to install. None of those thrust washers and stuff that I hear other rollers need. It goes in pretty much like a stock cam, except the timing gear and cam sensor gear are "pressed" on the nose of the cam vice bolted. No special tools needed for it, just a larger socket and a rubber mallet. :) I do have an annoying ticking sound from the valve train though. I think it was my roller rockers (GN1 type) which have bearings FALLING out of them. I have a new pair coming when ATR FINALLY sends them out!! But that's another story.

I would like to hear some commentary on how driveable it is. Would you be afraid to take it on a long trip? Is it worth the expense for the power/durability? Keep those comments coming.

From what I've heard from speaking with ATR they said the 309G roller cam (212/206 billet roller) was a better cam for street and strip cause the 214/210 billet roller (309H) doesn't have as much bottom end performance. It really depends on your combo (what turbo, heads, converter, etc.) and what your goals are with the car, but from what I've herad once you go bigger than the 210/210 billet roller you start to lose driveability, so if the car is mostly street driven I would go with either a 206/206, 212/206, or 210/210 billet roller. These cars don't need big cams cause there's plenty of guys running 10's with the stock grind. JMO:)

I have no driveability problems with it at all. I used to have flat tappet 218 cam and that was a bit lopey. But also note that I had a 3200 stall converter and now I have a 3800 stall, so that would play a MAJOR bit in the driveability factor. I have driven a couple hundred miles at a time before with the 3200 stall with NO problems. And on the street with my present setup, it's just a BLAST. :D

I don't usually recommend any products from ATR, but for the ease of installation and price (and it's BILLET!!), I'm very happy with it.
