I'm not the sharpest computer whiz... but I think I know a *little* about computers... and I'll be damned if I can get this thing to work.

It came with my car when I bought it... and I'm only now getting around to trying to figure it out.

I downloaded everything from FT's website and got the console to pop up on my laptop, I have the PL card in my new ECM and plugged in to the laptop... it tried to do the "new hardware wizard" for the powerlogger, but failed to install it.

Nevermind... I had to manually install the drivers...

Got the active console up and running..

I'm sitting in the car out in the garage... surfing the internet and playing with the Powerlogger.
Schweet. :D

Boy am I glad I didn't sell this damn thing when I bought the car.;)

I 'guess you could say I feel like I'm "eating crow" right about now.

I just need to figure out how to get the LM1/wideband tracking, EGT sensor and fuel pressure sensor all hooked up correctly.

Uh oh this mean someone is getting ready to make a trip over to the 'grove? if you are make sure you post up I want to see that beast run.

Must be nice to live so close to a track!! Will they let you run with a laptop in the car???

That's a good question... :D

I'm not ready for the dragstrip yet anyway...

My biggest concern is... busting the 200R4 before my trip to OC MD for the big Spring cruise... (Only 2-3 weeks away)
Once I get that out of the way... then I'll be balls-out trying to break stuff. ;)

At a minimum, I'd like to throw a set of Moser axles in the rear too before hitting the track.

I also just finished up installing the LM1 wideband back in the car... mounting it inside the console, out of sight.

I need to look around and try to find a schematic of the LM1 analog out connections, EGT connections and FP sender connections.
Once all that is taken care of... I'll order a 6.0 chip from Eric. That will be the 4th chip from him in the last 2 months. :p

I have a bunch of neat stuff to play with... only problem is, I don't know how to use it yet. ;)

told you not to sell it...LOL

And I took your advice. :D

THANKS !

Hopefully I'll have the rest of it hooked up tomorrow and working...

Still gotta figure out which of the LM1 analog out wires are used and where to connect them... then gotta hook up the FP transducer. EGT and MAP sensor are already hooked up.

Everything is updated, calibrated, hooked-up and working.

Only thing I need to do yet is order a 6.0 chip from Eric.

I had to bring the LM-1 into the house and connect it to my older home PC since that's the only computer I have with a serial port. I updated the firmware and made the needed adjustments to it per Eric's 6.0 chip instructions. I took it back out to the garage and did the heater & free air calibrations. Everything is working 100%. (so far :D )

I'm thinking maybe I'll get a chip ordered and make a few easy runs at Maple Grove in the next couple weeks... just to get a baseline and see what kind of MPH I can manage.

No hard axle/trans busting launches until after I get back from OC MD. ;)
