A while ago I decided that cryo treating would amount to cheap insurance on some of my parts. I'm convinced it is worth the money to get certain items treated, but that's not what I'm asking here.

I'm not trying to cause any problems or accuse any vendor of anything, but how do you know if your items have actually been treated? I mean, I sent in my stuff and after a week or 10 days they sent it back. I'm not saying that my items were not treated, but some unscrupulous pesron could run a racket at this....

im not an expert on this but i have looked into maybe doing some cryo treatment when i do a rebuild on my GN. i think the only way to tell is if you are able to get a hold of a powerful microscope. the metal should look a lot different than untreated parts.
i may be wrong.

i talked to a cryo shop owned by a gn enthusiast. he told me they have guys makin 700 RWhp on stock cryoed cranks and a girdle.
