I need to know if your gage needle responds instantly to change in oil press or if it changes very slowly? I'm not sure if it is the gage (which is fairly new) or because of the small copper tubing line (1/8") for my sensing line. If it isn't the copper line could it be in the small hole in the 1/8" fittings used for the gage line?
There are no kinks in the line either.
When I hooked up an Ashcroft gage using 1/4" tubing at the tee fitting on the block the pressure went up instantly with rpm.
Thus trying to isolate where the difference is. Thanks

low oil pressure Paul.

The newer VDO guages respond slower than the old ones.

The 1/8" line is fine.

Most likely damped internally.

No biggy just a little different and need getting used to.

Well, what happens to mine compared to another gage is that I don't even get to see the high point when I rev the engine. It is so slow to respond that it looks like the oil pressure is lower than it actually is according to my test gage.
