I'm installing UMI uppers and lowers and am having a B*!tch of a time getting the rearend back in the car. I had to take the rearend out for repairs in case you are wondering why I took it out.
Is there any tricks to getting it back in? The stock uppers are the same on each side and so are the UMI's. I can line up one and then the other is off by a half inch. I haven't even got to the lowers yet. Am I doing something wrong? Did anyone else have this much trouble putting a rearend in? Thanks

Yes its going to be a pain especially with all brand new stuff in there. We did a 9 in swap into a customers GN and it was not easy.It took 2 of us with some prying and cousin;)

I have never removed the rear but when I mounted the UMI lowers I had to use a come-along to move the rear into position. When I unbolted the stock lowers the rear shifted about and inch or so and I could only bolt up one without the come-along.

I also used the come along, only installed the UMI lowers. Word of caution..don't overtighten bolts when re-connecting sway bar..I did'nt torque per directions and caved in the area surrounding the boltholes. HTH
