Just got my GSIII a week ago and just downloaded the new TB.com app and it has the same error...

.
 
Odd.. mine has also quit working again.. it worked after some back end work this morning. Let me take another look.....
 
Error now seems to be isolated to when you try to log in. I have updated my support ticket with Forum Runner.

When I receive the artwork for the mobile app from the artist, Im going to probably start working on a Tapatalk custom app for here.
 
I downloaded the latest app from the Play Store this morning (Dec. 6), version 1.3.18. When I run the app, I can get into the forums and read them. However, when I try to log in, I get the following error:

"The remote server sent an unknown response. This could be a result of the forum software plugin being outdated or having a conflict."

HTC Droid Incredible, Android Version 2.3.4.

Forumrnner's notes on the app store says "Startup crash fixed!" and "Fixed login bug on Android 4.2". Did they check the login on any other versions of Android?

They havent fixed the login problem and I suspect its not actually the app's fault its crashing. I think the latest plugin for the forum has some coding errors in it thats causing it. Unfortunately Im not much of a coder but I see why its not working, I just dont know how to fix it easily. A lot of it is because of how the forum is set up here.. its not a typical setup because everyone was so hot to trot to have that home page.. Ill figure it out :)

Well, this was a quick test fix.. knowing what I think is wrong with it, I was surprised what I did fixed it.

Basically Im going to have to hard code a bunch of paths in but Im not going to start on this until I hear back from ForumRunner support. Ill keep you guys updated.

Jay, I'm still having problems logging in just as other users stated, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, even searching for an iOS update but nothing. I know that your working to resolve this issue, just wanted to send my results. Hope it's back soon

All Ive gotten so far is "Its installed wrong." Well.. no.. its not. It was working fine.. for a long time.. it didnt magically get installed wrong.

Lol, sorry although its not funny I had to laugh, I get the same answers from the IT dept at work all the time. As another user stated all the forums and topics are accessible to read, it's just a login issue. I'll keep you posted if somehow I'm magically able to long at some point. Thanks for your help and quick response.
 
I work in IT. Id get fired if I gave those lame excuses but Ive come to find out that the support we provide isnt the norm with most IT departments. We are a true IT support company tho so thats probably what makes us different. We mainly do small businesses that dont want an on site IT guy.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything against IT guys. I hope it wasn't taken that way. I just thought the response you were given was funny cause that's the type stuff I normally hear. Absolutely no pun intended.

Oh no.. Im completely agree with you. My wife works for a Fortune 100 company and their IT department is a bag of shit. None of those guys would last a day here.

I work for a rather big company, and IT is useless. Their famous line is we will bump it up to level 2 or level 3 but the funny thing is know one can tell you what that really means and apparently level 3 is the highest we go, after that your screwed. I only know enough to keep my computer running ( no heads, pistons, or cams in there) so I can't even recommend or suggest anything to help.
 
My app crashes on my iphone5. It worked up to a few days ago but it lost my logon somehoe. I am able to see all the forums but as soon as I try to login it crashes. I have reloaded several times but get the same error. I have version 1.5.14 loaded.
