Does anyone know when or if the tracks in Pheonix or Tuscon close for the winter.{ not that they have a winter} track in Alb,nm is closed know. I would like to bring my GN to arizona and see if i could get an 11scnd pass. best so far is 12.2 here in Alb.:mad: my combo is TE60-V4-CC 206-212-pp stock heads-Razor's alky-TTchip-pat's 32-34 10in tq cnvter and 50lb inj. just would like to hit it once.:rolleyes: ya-right! :D
 
If you guys get a group going let me know. I got rained out of my last opportunity to race here in Vegas.
 
Maybe we should put this in the southwest section there's some guys that might want to go Tracks here suck. :) I wanna break an axle at speedworld that track hooks!;)

no you dont. It does hook thats for sure. I snaped and axle off the foot brake on ET Street Radials. Guy comes up to me and says at what ET do you need C-Clip Elim. i was like i would have to look. hes like you might want to get a set. i was like my cars slow ;)

I have 28 spline moser's with an Auburn Posi Pro, TA girdle etc. etc. But I do need 32spline axles now. Jeff Rand broke his 28's there durring the Nat's also. :eek: I need to go! :biggrin:

yes he did. im going with a 30 spline auburn with 30 spline axles and a Ta Girdle so we will see what happens. thats after i pay nick for the rearend of course.
 
alright, since some of you want to go as a group - how about on 1-12-08. as i figure that the dates towards new years most or some may not make it. i'll put in leave for that weekend as i'm coming from Alb,nm.:biggrin: so what do you guys/girls say YA or NAY?
 
i will try to make it but my car will probley be in the body shop. if i dont bring the car i will come watch and try to help out
 
My buddy Tom and I will be coming up. should make for an interesting drive.:cool: want to see if sea level really makes a difference. would be happy with even 1--11scnd pass.

Best 60 for me on M\T drag radials is a 2.1 spinning all the way through first and a good portion of second. M\T et streets will get me 1.9, again with wheel spin as soon as the boost flares up to 15 pounds or so. My best to date is a 12.4 at 113mph. Seems that getting 113 mph at 5500 elevation should be plenty of power to go deep into the 11's at a lower elevation combined with some traction. I'd do a backflip if I could just get into the 1.7 range. Tom

60ft is in 1.6 range, but have a problem not mph/ing more than 107 with a ET of 12.5. best ET was 12.2 at 105mph.have turned up FP to 45 and know it seems to pull better at top, but track is know closed-so can't see if higher FP really helped. combo is TE60-V4-cc 206-212-pp stock heads-50lb inj-pat's 32-34 tc-Razor's alky kit and TTchip.
 
With my '86 my best was an 11.79 @ 116 with a 1.7something 60 ft. Stock untouched long block, PT51, V4, 50#'s, 3200 stall running 20#'s of boost. You have any DirectScan runs recorded? I think you should have more power left in that combo.
Tom, what are you running for suspension? I never had any luck at that track with drag radials, It took DOT slicks, air bags, nasty burnout and a 12# launch to get me in the 1.7's. The '87 I am going through this winter, changing a bunch of stuff and possibly adding some weight to the rear.
