Where can I get a good deal on one? I don't even see them on ATR's website (maybe I'm just blind). I just want to DP, not the whole header package.

Actually, I don't even need the whole downpipe, just the bottom 3/4's. If anybody has a used one with a messed up top part, I'd be interested. :)

What do the ATR DP's go for new?

The price of a new one is higher now............like around $145.

question: i bought a used 2.5" ATR downpipe and i noticed that the side that bolts up to the converter is just open pipe (like it should slip fit onto the converter). however, my converter has a square 4 bolt flange that connects it to the stock pipe. is fabrication involved to fit the ATR pipe? or is the pipe i have for a different application? thanks in advance

It is designed to fit an 86/87 style cat
convertor. So to use with an 84/85 cat
you will have to get a flange welded on it.
Maybe cut the one off the old DP? Be
advised that not just anybody can weld the
new DP, (stainess), and preferably TIG weld
at that.

ATR should have sent a piece with your Downpipe(unless it came with my racepipe.....but either way atr has this piece)...........that connects on to the end of the downpipe.........its a custom piece that will allow you to bolt you downpipe up to your stock cat with the 4 bolts!!!! CALL ATR THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO SET YOU UP WITH THAT PIECE.

Ok...........I was mistaken.......that custom piece was to hook the racepipe to the stock downpipe(i was way off..LOL).........but I dont see why they wouldnt sell a piece to hook their downpipe to our stock cats or aftermarket cats???? I would still call ATR and see what they tell you.

I got a 2½" converter from Torque Tech and it came with the 4-bolt flange. I had to weld it to a short peice of pipe and clamp it on the converter. The 4-bolt flange makes swapping the converter with a test pipe easy.
