I am not an ASE master tech or anything, not to take anything at all from the guys who are, I respect your trade and your ability to repair vehicles, but installing custom aftermarket exhaust systems really has no bearing on the certification tests. I have installed and sold literally 100's of ATR exhaust sytems and downpipes. In my opinion, they are of the highest quality. I didnt get along to well with the original owners (Phil and Sherry) but the company has changed hands twice now and I believe customer service to be top notch. All the systems on the market require some skill and effort into making them fit perfectly, ATR is a distributor, not installers. I wouldnt shy away from their products but maybe purchase them through another vendor/installer who can give you some insight on what would need to be done to handle any issue that may arise. I have the cross flow 3" dual exhaust on my personal car and while it was tough to get it the way I wanted it, it looks perfect and the fit and clearance are excellent. Things have changed alot in the past 5 years or so in the Buick world, and I agree, there is a very small market for our cars and the Buick crowd is a tough one to deal with. It is important to support your vendors or they will go away.Remember guys, it's not always about saving $5 on a part you purchased from someone that has NO IDEA how to support it!
I am a distributor for ATR, I support their products, if you have any issues with something you have purchased, even if it has not been from me, I am willing to step up on their behalf and help you get it resolved, feel free to contact me at the shop and I will see what I can do.

OK, maybe the new owners are good people. Bill, ever tried an ATR DP.
I have talked to many guys around here, including myself, and we all had stuck watsegates! Very scary thing to have happen. First it starts off with boost problems, then no power, then It seizes, either open or closed.

Scott,
I have sold and installed many, never had an issue with the wastegate siezing on any of them. It obviously happens as you have seen several. I have seen it on a BGC cast DP but none of ATRs.

I agree with you Bill , its very important to support our vendors , what lttle we have left :( .

Now to the other posts I have read in this thread....I for one believe in people should be able to give there "Factual" opinion on there personal experiances they go through with members and vendors here at TB.com , But I nor TB.com will tolerate any type of insultive words , plagued comments or pictures of the vendors or members of TB.com or the TR community.
If you have a disliking to a member or vendors product you have puchased and used then simply state your factual opinion / experiance and move on , to harp or harrass on it does you and the rest of this community no good.
