I am not an ASE master tech or anything, not to take anything at all from the guys who are, I respect your trade and your ability to repair vehicles, but installing custom aftermarket exhaust systems really has no bearing on the certification tests. I have installed and sold literally 100's of ATR exhaust sytems and downpipes. In my opinion, they are of the highest quality. I didnt get along to well with the original owners (Phil and Sherry) but the company has changed hands twice now and I believe customer service to be top notch. All the systems on the market require some skill and effort into making them fit perfectly, ATR is a distributor, not installers. I wouldnt shy away from their products but maybe purchase them through another vendor/installer who can give you some insight on what would need to be done to handle any issue that may arise. I have the cross flow 3" dual exhaust on my personal car and while it was tough to get it the way I wanted it, it looks perfect and the fit and clearance are excellent. Things have changed alot in the past 5 years or so in the Buick world, and I agree, there is a very small market for our cars and the Buick crowd is a tough one to deal with. It is important to support your vendors or they will go away.Remember guys, it's not always about saving $5 on a part you purchased from someone that has NO IDEA how to support it!
I am a distributor for ATR, I support their products, if you have any issues with something you have purchased, even if it has not been from me, I am willing to step up on their behalf and help you get it resolved, feel free to contact me at the shop and I will see what I can do.
