On my Scanmaster when it's 60 degrees outside and I'm cruising 65mph, I'm reading around 100. Can this be right and will it affect the performance of my car? Thanks, Tim.

It's very possible, especially if you are running an open element air filter on the end of the MAF pipe.

The underhood area is pretty darn hot most of the time, even in cool weather.

As far as performance being affected, it won't be drastically affected, but cooler/denser air is always preferable to hotter air.
