q.1. What parts are needed to make a 200R4 live in a 3000lb A-body Elcamino with 420/420 RWHP/TQ?
I only want to build it once. A slight over build it ok with me.

q.2 I pulled a core from an Olds 98 with what looked like a BOP 403ci. Super clean new install and 03/20/07 was writen on the converter. Is that a good core to build on?

I build 4L60E's for myself and about one client a year for 500-600RWHP 4000lb+ street / trac cars that live. And have built one nice Glide.

The Car
1967' El Camino 3100lb with driver and fluids
Zero decked, HR 383, high lift / low overlap, torque moster on pump gas at 11.8:1
420RWTQ from 2500RPM to 5100RPM Dynojet 224XLC SAE corr.
thats thru a Power Glide with a stock converter and calced 27% slip at 5100RPM
10-15K miles a year Daily driver, 1/4 mile and autocross once a year
motor was built to match the weaknesses of the Glide but $3.60+ a gal. is killing us in CA at 10K+mile$ a year

I got the core trans form an Olds 98 at the salvage yard

-Self built Power Glide (TransGo, TCI hub, hi count Alto Reds, Alto red band unplugged vac mod)
-Lokar Kickdown cable
-Spin on filter adapter with M1-301 or PH8A
-B&M monster size trans cooler
-VDO trans temp gauge
-VDO trans pressure gauge
-semi dry break trans lines

-shift works PG to 200R4 shifter lever setup

-New Napa Trans Lines w/ quick dis connects

q.3. Do I need the Lokar TV cable?
q.4. Do I need some fancy delay TCC control box? I make custom nitrous controls is there andy reason I canot make my own tcc control box?
 
Don't know about the VB might have problems with shift timing.
I'd say with that much power a good shift kit, dual feed directs, & a billet forward drum.
Here's a LU diagram, I just omitted the 4th press. switch & put in a toggle switch & it can be locked in 2nd on up.

like to se more pics of the 67. how the hydro-boost brakes working for you?
i'm doing an 67 chevelle with a gn motor in it.
 
emailed chris for info on the 200 4r for my 2004 gto, and have been working with protools for 2 and 1/2 years guided me to the 200.
