Auto Meter Gauge?

I just got my Auto Meter Gauge (boost/vacuum)in the mail and I was wonder if the gauge should be reading 0 out of the box. Mine is reading 7 vacuum not hooked up. I was wondering if this is normal or if this one is broken and I should get a new one before I install it.

Mine was like that and it works perfectly fine. If I remember correctly it even says in the instructions its not supposed to be on zero. Something with the calibration.
