Hi, forgive me if there is already a thread that I missed doing my search.

Ok I wanna hook up some autometer gauges..oil pressure and water temp. Now my questions are
1) how do I hook up the sending units? My engine is bone stock, does anybody have pics or an install guide?
2) do I need to buy a oil filter sandwich plate Like I did when I had my 3000gt vr4?
3) is it hard to do? I am new to these cars but I'm not new imports.

As always your input would be greatly appreciated by me.
Thanks, bill

Oil sender is below the turbo on the engine block. Most remove the factory oil sender and replace with the new one. Some add T and hook up both. Your call. The factory oil sender is actually a secondary fuel pump contact. Not really necessary.

Water sender is on the front of the intake. Lower left of the throttle body. Same thing. Remove the factory one and replace with new.

Run wires into the car and fallow the directions for hook up.

I had to buy various sizes of plumbibng fittings until I could clear the radiator hose and other obstacles. I am using the autometer sender while keeping the original sender functional also. gn oil sender 1.jpg

Thanks for all the input. If I do away with the factory oil sender will the autometer sender screw right in or will I need to buy a thread adaptor? If so does anyone Know the size?

Old thread resurrected.
I removed the water temp sender from my old block. It was where the 1/8th” NPT drain is on the driver side of the block.
I will not go in to the new short block.
Can I connect the wire to the water sender is on the front of the intake lower left of the throttle body like TurboBuRick said?

Boostmobile?

It almost felt like there was something in the way when I removed the factory fitting and tried putting in the sending unit. The sending unit would not go all the way in.
