Hi all,
After extensive searching, I have had a hard time finding an answer to this.
My 86 GN VDO boost gauge does not seem to go over 10lbs of boost anymore. This started happening a few days ago--nothing has been changed on the motor, only the tranny has been R&R'ed to fix a problem.
Oddly enough, my factory boost gauge in the dash has always been pretty close to accurate (as opposed to my tach). The dash boost gauge measures a little over 15 psi at WOT, while the VDO only measures 10 psi. I just bought a Scanmaster2.1, is there any way I can see what happened using this tool?
Any other suggestions? Vaccuum leaks? Exhaustleaks? Does the factory boost gauge get its reading from somewhere else?
Thanks,
Guhan
