bad cam sensor? causing knock?

As the title States i have a cam sensor on its way out, i can hear the retaining nut jiggle. But i am having a knock issue (dont know if its false) and was wondering if it could be caused from the cam sensor. I have a scanmaster and a casper knock gauge. Scanmaster will read say 6.6 degree of knock and the casper gauge is still green. Sometimes vice versa. And it will show knock before 15psi of boost. Usually at 10psi. Which i thought it was not supposed to knock under factory boost settings. Mods are full exhaust. Smc alky kit (1 nozzle) ls1 maf and translator. 39# injectors. 100# valve springs upgraded fuel pump with hotwire kit. And some other things i am forgetting.

also has rjc boost controller and is set at 18psi. I know some parts from the servo have been taken out to create harder shifts so idk if that could be causing false knock
