Bad Idle

Am having problem with engine rpm going up and down at idle. Just got engine back together and as I've never heard the car run before I don't know what ot do about it. I boughtd the car in pieces and had to rebuild the engine completely to stock specs. any info appreciated. Bernie Steffen zstef@mchsi.com

unstable idle

I had a similar problem a few years back if memory serves I think it was resolved by removing the IAC valve and cleaning the throttle body and resetting the TPS and doing the IAC reset procedure. Should be done when the engine is warm BTW.
