It appears the people running the Barona track have been getting a lot of calls from racers that frequented the Fontana track, since the track booted them off their schedule due to the ongoing lawsuit.
Barona is in a frenzy attempting to figure out how to accommodate the potential increase in racer attendance.
One thing that is in the planning stage is to start a homegrown index class racing series. The planned indexes at the moment are 6.50 and 7.50.
There are also plans to pave more of the pit area to increase good clean pit space. I sure hope that goes through.
The track managers are also looking at increasing the time that the track is open during the year.
